Our Structure
As an international charity, how do we collaborate while recognising and respecting the autonomy and diversity of our partners?
Many people in the compassion industry fall into the trap of doing things for others instead of working with them.
To avoid this pitfall, Route 61 seeks to collaborate with local partners in majority world nations to realise a shared mission that empowers rather than creates dependency or exacerbates existing challenges. We do this by adopting a polycentric structure model.
